Growth Units serve for precisely controlled plant cultivation and comparison studies.
Growth Units are primarily intended for placement in climatized chamber (not part of Growth Unit), where a large number of them are located and controlled via programmable logic controller (PLC). PLC is an option to purchase. Alternatively - if only a single or few Growth Units are purchased - they may be controlled individually via the display located on the front part. No PLC needed in such case.
The Growth Units arrangement enables multiple experimental setups in one cultivation space. Every single Growth Unit offers possibility of different light and temperature regime, which makes them very suitable for multiple or parallel experiments.
Illumination: adjustable in intensity (from 0 to 100 %), timing, modulation, and diurnal cycling
Temperature control range: +2 to +12 °C above the Cultivation Room temperature
LED technology for optimum plant growth: White LED illumination with supplementary Far-Red LEDs or Red-Green-Blue LED illumination with supplementary Far-Red LEDs
Maximum PPFD up to 250 µmol.m -2 .s -1 at the distance of 30 cm (higher intensity on request)
Rapid modulation of irradiance simulating light flecks
Precise adjustment of the light intensity in the range of 1 to 100 % of the total output
Homogeneous illumination over the whole cultivation area of 1.4 m 2

Incorporated module for measuring light intensity or fluorescence (optional)
Temperature can be regulated in the range of +2 to +12 °C above the Cultivation Room temperature (optionally up to +20 °C above the Cultivation Room temperature). In standard version, illumination may be controlled up to 250 µmol.m -2 .s -1 at the distance of 30 cm (higher light intensities on request).
